We can all struggle from time to time to think of an idea for our next fundraising attempt! But not anymore, as the brains at CCHF have put together an all expansive list of ideas and events which could be used to raise money for whichever great cause you are backing.
To top it off, its even been put into a lovely, all inclusive, alphabetic list for your connivence: aren't we great!
A
Auctions
These can be great ways to get rid of some old stuff and raise some money for charity too. Organise your own fundraising auction and sell talents as well as goods!
Aerobics-athon
To stay fit and healthy, organise an aerobics-athon. Maybe with work colleague or at your local gym.
B
Bake off!
Who doesn't love cakes, baking and - frankly - food! Getting friends and family together to bake can be an brilliantly tasty way to raise money.
Bad Tie day
Everyone knows someone who wears bad ties. If you don't then you're probably the bad tie wearer! For this event get your colleague's to do their worst!
Beat the goalie
England might be rubbish at penalties, but buck the trend with this easy to organise event! Challenge your friends to a beat the goalie competition.
Bike ride
Easy and fun! Pick a distance, location and date and then simply get everyone you know to sponsor you.
Find out what happened when 10 University volunteer's did a 1,500 mile sponsored cycled from London to Istanbul for CCHF! (You don't have to go quite that far!)
Bingo
Organise a bingo event – if you're feeling creative you could even come up with your own calls for the numbers.

Charity Christmas cards
Design your own charity Christmas cards to sell to your friends and family.
Charity calendars
This could be a great opportunity for the start of each new year. Choose a theme, gather your family and friends and produce a calendar for charity!
Copper Collections for Charity
Collect all those unwanted coppers that weigh down your pockets – small change can make a big difference.
Concert
Gather all the talented people you know under one roof and put on a concert for friends and family.
Cricket match
Cricket's not for everyone, but if its your thing why not gather your undiscovered bowlers, batters and fielders, and organise one giant Challenge your peers or teachers to a cricket match. Each team pays a fee.
Car wash
Charge your colleagues, teachers, friends and family to wash their cars.

Dress down day
An old'n but a good'n! Any excuse not to where that stuffy uniform or suit!
Disco or Dance
Why not get together with as many people you can find and put on a disco or a dance. All proceeds can go towards charity any you can even have a raffle as part of the evening. Great for all ages.

Eating competition
Who's your money on? Get a few people who back themselves with large appetites to go head-to-head with people betting on the winners!
Egg and spoon race
Are you up for an egg and spoon challenge? Race your friends and family. No cheating now!
Egg painting competition
Don’t waste those eggs after the race – turn them into works of art. Sell them to raise money for us.

Fancy dress
Fancy dress parties are a great excuse to dress exactly how you want too...
Five-a-side football
Join a five-a-side league or create your own tournament! All participates can pay an entry fee which can go towards charity. Get your shooting boots on!
Fashion show
Put your creative talents to the test and organise a fashion show – why not use recycled clothes and make it an eco-show?
Fun run
This is easy to set up and sponsor! Or alternatively just join a local organised event and run for your favourite charity!

Guess who the baby is (from photos)
This could prove fairly embarrassing. Collect as many baby photos as you can from your colleague and then put together a prize for whom ever can guess the most correctly!
Guess the number or weight of …(balloons in a car, sweets in a jar)
A fair favourite! Get a jar or clear box and fill it with something edible!

Hula Hoop Contest
How many times can you spin the hula hoop? See if you can break the world record which currently stands at 74 hours and 54 minutes!!!
I
Indoor Olympics
Find any good sized school or sports hall and create your very own Olympics with all the classics... Egg 'n spoon, 3-legged and all the rest. Rain won't stop play and its a good one for all age groups!
International cooking evening
Have everyone you know bring a different dish from every area of the world and celebrate the fantastic flavours from around the globe. People can then pay to eat and sponsor any charity of your choosing. You could even have a raffle at the end of the evening for cooking courses.
Ice-bucket challenge
You know the drill. Get some ice. Get some water, and film yourself getting drenched. Donate and nominate several others to join in and do the same. Viral charitable giving like this has massively helped charities in the past and can certainly do so again.

Jumble sales
This is just too easy to set up and do! Everyone has too much stuff which they'd love to get rid of. Using again a school hall or even outside, you can quickly turn your unwanted 'junk' into wonderful charitable donations!

Kite flying
When the wind is right get those kites in flight! A simple 'Who can stay in the air the longest?' will give you a great opportunity to raise money whilst having giving extra promotions for best looking and flown kites! You could even use it as an opportunity to get business support on your kites in the form of sponsorship!
Karaoke
Using your singing abilities (or lack of) to raise money. Get friends, family and colleagues involved in this easy to set up event.

Line of coins
Collect your coppers and keep growing your collection until you donate it. Get everyone involved and give a prize for the person with the biggest line of coins!
Lent challenge
Give up something. Anything! Get people to sponsor you and you've easily made some money for charity whilst proving your self-restraint at the same time!
Litter picking competition
Not one for the faint hearted, but all for a good cause on two fronts. You could even get the council or local authority to sponsor you for doing your duty by Queen and country...
M
Money boxes
Easy! Leave some money collection boxes every, at work. local supermarket or school and get everyone involved in your fundraising. You could even do street collection although this of course will require a license!
Monthly donations
Again this couldn't be easier to set-up. Get various people to give charitable donations and organise an event at the end of the year to celebrate the donations! This will involve some immense planning!
N
Nominate your boss!
Create a challenge especially for your boss and encourage your colleagues to sponsor them or even takes bets as to whether they will even completed it!
Neck 'n Nominate (booze-free)
Record yourself drinking a shot of something unusual and nominate a few other people to join in whilst also giving to charity. Viral charitable giving like this has massively helped charities in the past and can certainly do so again.

Odd clothes day
Perfect for schools or work. Getting your maddest and worst clothes and dress up for a day. The more the better.
Olympics sports day
Did the Games inspire your inner athlete? Get your school, work or community together for a day of fun, sports and fundraising.

Penalty shoot out
Show off your skills in a sponsored shoot out as part of a football fundraiser.
Photo competitions
If you’re a budding photographer, hold a competition for interesting snaps.
Pancake race
Hold your own pancake race – challenge your friends and family.
Pin the tail on the donkey
Challenge your work colleagues or school to a pin the tail on the donkey. Remember to blindfold them to ensure there's no cheating!
Plant sale
Growing plants is good for the environment, fun and can certainly be a good way to raise money!
PTA coffee morning

Quiet in the workplace
This one is easy. No talking. None. Zero!
Quizzes
Get together with some friends or your local community and have a quiz night. Prizes for winning teams or individuals. This can be a great way to raise awareness of particular issues whilst raising money and volunteers for your charity!

Raffles
Friends, family and even local businesses can all come together to put on a fantastic raffle which will provide an ideal opportunity for fundraising.
Read-athon
Who can read the most books? This can be done over a week, month or even (if you're feeling particularly brave) a year! You can aware winners on number of books or even pages as reading Winnie-the-Pooh 34 times will probably beat Pride and Prejudice...
Recycling
You can recycle spent ink cartridges or collect left over foreign coins from your holiday!

Soak the boss
See if you can convince your boss or work colleage's to in the stocks and get wet! Get people to pay per sponge. Pay-back for all that overtime....
Stalls
Set up a variety of stalls, from plants or cakes to recycled goods. Any sort of selling stall can create more donations than you would think possible.
Sponsored...ANYTHING!
This can be applied to anything. Whether you want to get people youknow to sponsor you to do something or even get a local business to buy sponsorship space on your next event.
This could be easily arranged and provides local businesses an opportunity to get involved in their local community. With CCHF you can donate directly via our Make A Donation Page!
Swim-athon
Swim the distance for your local charity. Get sponsored per length, width…or mile!
T
Talent contest
This can be organised within your local hall and provide a great Christmas party or charity school event. Hold a contest to showcase the talents of your friends and family! Prizes for the winner and, even, loser!
Tombola
As with the above raffle, get friends and family to donate gifts and organise a Tombola.
Treasure Hunt
This will usually be better organised in the summer, however (any excuse to misbehave in the office) you could even organise one around your place of work. Negotiate with your boss and spend an afternoon hunting for a series of clues leading to an ultimate treasure. Pay to play.
Three legged race
Again, probably better suited to the summer and outdoor pursuits. But teaming up with work colleague's to run a 3-legged race can be an excellent opportunity to raise a tonne of money.

Ugly face pulling competition
Does this need explaining? Just don't make them too terrible...
V
Virtual Silence
(We struggled with V but we pulled through!!) Virtual Silence: Resist any social media for as long as you can. This can be done on your own or on a competitive basis with work, friends and family. This will be a refreshing experience whilst raising great money for Charity.
W
Walk, and then some!
Sponsored events are a fantastic way to raise money. Pick a destination and just walk on towards it.
Welly throwing competition
A Scottish (?!) classic...Put your shot put skills to the test and see how far those wellies will go.
Word search
Create a charity-themed word search and challenge your friends and family.
X
X-Factor Competition
Celebrate all your talents by putting on a show – Britain’s definitely got talent...somewhere. Organise your own show and invite your local community as well. This can be a fantastic way to celebrate the year or Christmas.
Y
Yo-yo competition
Have you got a talent for yo-yoing? Then put your skill to good use and get sponsored!
Yodelling competition
Who doesn't love a good Yodel....no just me? Well, if yodelling is your thing, then either get friends to pay you not to do it, or get sponsored instead!
Z
Zoo quiz
Create a zoological quiz and test your friends’ and family’s knowledge of the animal kingdom.
