Many of these UK websites have information that can be viewed, downloaded or ordered in hard copy. The ones with phone numbers also have help lines.

Many information booklets and leaflets are free or can be borrowed from the Cancer Information and Wellbeing Service at CCHU, Stoke Mandeville Hospital, and the Sunrise Unit, Wycombe Hospital. Some are suitable for people with special needs and some are available in different languages. Free Wi-Fi Internet access and tailored information prescriptions are also available at CCHU and Sunrise through Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust.

Blood Cancer UK (Previously Leukaemia and Lymphoma Research)
A UK charity dedicated to improving the lives of patients with all types of blood cancer through supporting research. They also produce a comprehensive range of information booklets, including those especially for children and young adults. These can be downloaded from their website or ordered free of charge.

The International Chronic Myeloid Leukaemia Foundation
Set up by experts in many countries with a special interest in this disease to improve the outcome for patients with CML and has up-to-the-minute information on research developments and treatment.

The CML Support Group (Chronic Myeloid Leukaemia)
An online patient support group for chronic myeloid leukaemia patients, their families and carers. The website has been running since April 2000 and has a lively discussion forum as well as information regarding current therapies for CML.

The MDS Patient Support Group
Provides an educational role and supports research into this group of malignant blood disorders.

The Aplastic Anaemia Trust
The only charity in the UK dedicated solely to research into aplastic anaemia and the support of patients and their families.

The ITP Support Association
An independent UK registered charity which aims to promote and improve the general welfare of people with Immune Thrombocytopenia (formerly known as Idiopathic Thrombocytopenic Purpura) by providing support and information to patients, their families, and health professionals.
