Donations and fundraising round-up
By CCHF in Donations Fundraising

We're delighted to be able to report a number of recent donations from our marvellous supporters – to the value of more than £5,000:
The annual Easter raffle and sweet sale, run by the fantastic reception team at the Cancer Care and Haematology Unit, Stoke Mandeville Hospital, raised £1,377.10. This is a really popular event which consistently raises a huge amount for CCHF and is organised entirely by the reception staff in their own time.
A Quiz Night at Weston Turville Village Hall on 16 May organised by Sheila Merrett and her friends proved very popular and the proceeds (including receipts from a wide array of valuable raffle prizes on the night) were shared between CCHF and our friends at Myeloma UK; we subsequently received an amazing £1,010.
We have received a very generous donation of £3,000 made by the Lasting Life Charity, the Simon MacCorkindale Legacy. This small charity was launched in 2016 in honour of the life of actor Simon MacCorkindale, who died of cancer in 2010, and supports those living with, or who are affected by, cancer.
Thank you to all of the above individuals and organisations! We are incredibly grateful to all of those who raise funds for us or who donate to our work. It means that we are able to continue to support the excellent treatment provided by Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust to those who suffer from cancer and haematological illnesses.
