Craig Smith netball tournament for CCHU
Organized by his two twin daughters Libby and Kayleigh, a netball tournament took place on 14thJuly 2018 in memory of Craig Smith who died in 2012 of bowel cancer. Craig enjoyed all sports but especially loved watching his two daughters playing netball. It therefore seemed a good way of honouring his memory and at the same time raising money for the Cancer Care and Haematology Unit at Stoke Mandeville who had cared for him during his treatment. A wonderful time was had by the multiple teams taking part, and spectators, and the amazing total of £1,302.10 was raised through donations and on the day. So much fun was had that it is hoped to make this an annual event! A big thank you to everyone who took part from all of us at CCHU.
