An alphabet for all your fundraising ideas! This week: I-P!

We can all struggle from time to time to think of an idea for our next fundraising attempt! But not anymore, as the brains at CCHF have put together an all expansive list of ideas and events which could be used to raise money for whichever great cause you are backing.

To top it off, its even been put into a lovely, all inclusive, alphabetic list for your connivence: aren’t we great! Lets kick things off with I through to P…

I

Indoor Olympics

Find any good sized school or sports hall and create your very own Olympics with all the classics… Egg ‘n spoon, 3-legged and all the rest. Rain won’t stop play and its a good one for all age groups!

International cooking evening

Have everyone you know bring a different dish from every area of the world and celebrate the fantastic flavours from around the globe. People can then pay to eat and sponsor any charity of your choosing. You could even have a raffle at the end of the evening for cooking courses.

Ice-bucket challenge

You know the drill. Get some ice. Get some water, and film yourself getting drenched. Donate and nominate several others to join in and do the same. Viral charitable giving like this has massively helped charities in the past and can certainly do so again.

J

Jumble sales

This is just too easy to set up and do! Everyone has too much stuff which they’d love to get rid of. Using again a school hall or even outside, you can quickly turn your unwanted ‘junk’ into wonderful charitable donations!

K

Kite flying

When the wind is right get those kites in flight! A simple ‘Who can stay in the air the longest?’ will give you a great opportunity to raise money whilst having giving extra promotions for best looking and flown kites! You could even use it as an opportunity to get business support on your kites in the form of sponsorship!

Karaoke

Using your singing abilities (or lack of) to raise money. Get friends, family and colleagues involved in this easy to set up event.

L

Line of coins

Collect your coppers and keep growing your collection until you donate it. Get everyone involved and give a prize for the person with the biggest line of coins!

Lent challenge

Give up something. Anything! Get people to sponsor you and you’ve easily made some money for charity whilst proving your self-restraint at the same time!

Litter picking competition

Not one for the faint hearted, but all for a good cause on two fronts. You could even get the council or local authority to sponsor you for doing your duty by Queen and country…

M

Money boxes

Easy! Leave some money collection boxes every, at work. local supermarket or school and get everyone involved in your fundraising. You could even do street collection although this of course will require a license!

Monthly donations

Again this couldn’t be easier to set-up. Get various people to give charitable donations and organise an event at the end of the year to celebrate the donations! This will involve some immense planning!

N

Nominate your boss!

Create a challenge especially for your boss and encourage your colleagues to sponsor them or even takes bets as to whether they will even completed it!

Neck ‘n Nominate (booze-free)

Record yourself drinking a shot of something unusual and nominate a few other people to join in whilst also giving to charity. Viral charitable giving like this has massively helped charities in the past and can certainly do so again.

O

Odd clothes day

Perfect for schools or work. Getting your maddest and worst clothes and dress up for a day. The more the better.

Olympics sports day

Did the Games inspire your inner athlete? Get your school, work or community together for a day of fun, sports and fundraising.

P

Pin the tail on the donkey

Plant sale

Growing plants is good for the environment, fun and can certainly be a good way to raise money!
