Kindly Keya's touching gesture

A little girl's generosity has touched the hearts of the Cancer Care and Haematology Fund team.

Keya Bhatt, from Aylesbury, decided that instead of receiving birthday presents this year (she turned six recently) she would ask for money which she would donate to CCHF so that we could continue to support those being treated for cancer.

Keya and her family visited the Cancer Care and Haematology Unit at Stoke Mandeville Hospital in November and presented a remarkable total of £250 to CCHF Chair, Dr Ann Watson, who thanked Keya for her wonderful gesture.

CCHF was set up in 1990 to raise funds to help patients diagnosed with cancer or blood disorders by funding the construction of a specialist unit at Stoke Mandeville Hospital, near Aylesbury. Today the charity continues to provide financial support for Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust treatment facilities at both Stoke Mandeville and the Sunrise Unit at Wycombe Hospital.
