“Business as usual” for Alvin with a fundraising boost of £20,000!

Another stunning fundraising performance was marked on 28 October with the presentation of a cheque to the Cancer Care and Haematology Fund (CCHF) for nearly £20,000 by our Ambassador and Elvis impersonator, Alvin Printwhistle.

Before the start of the devastating coronavirus pandemic early in 2020 Alvin and his wife Yvonne had already raised a total of more than £50,000 for the Buckinghamshire healthcare charity with their Alvin - the Ultimate Elvis Tribute business.

Despite this major setback, and with a return to some normality later last year, the hard-working duo have still managed to raise another huge amount for CCHF.

The presentation was made to CCHF Trustees, Dr Ann Watson, and Dr Helen Eagleton, at Alvin and Yvonne's annual CHARM Gala Dinner, held at the Weston Turville Golf Club, near Aylesbury. Around 80 guests were entertained by music trio Déjà-Vu. The evening was another huge success and raised nearly £5,000 to kick-start Alvin's charity fundraising activities for 2023!

Healthcare charity CCHF, was set up in 1990 to raise money to help patients diagnosed with cancer or blood disorders by funding the construction of a specialist unit at Stoke Mandeville Hospital, near Aylesbury. Today the charity continues to provide financial support for Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust's treatment facilities at both Stoke Mandeville Hospital and the Sunrise Unit at Wycombe Hospital.
