Viva Las Charity! Alvin delivers £18,000
Elvis Presley tribute artist and CCHF ambassador, Alvin Printwhistle, has made another enormous donation to our charity.
Since he began fundraising for CCHF in 2016 Alvin, supported by his wife Yvonne, have raised nearly £120,000!
The latest donation, which was collected throughout 2025/2026, was for £18,792.50p and a cheque was presented on Saturday (24 October) at the CHARM Annual Dinner, Hazelmere Golf Club, Buckinghamshire. The event was attended by nearly 100 friends and supporters and featured sets by the Wilkinson Brothers musical duo. More than £2,000 was also raised on the night which will now go towards Alvin’s fundraising for 2027!
Chair of CCHF, Nicola Gilham, thanked Alvin and Yvonne – and all of their tremendous fans and supporters – for the latest donation, and referred to the important contribution the couple had made to charity funds over the past 11 years. Nicola went on to outline the many of the benefits that CCHF provides for patients undergoing cancer treatment mainly at the Cancer Care and Haematology Unit at Stoke Mandeville Hospital and at the Sunrise Unit, Wycombe Hospital.
Alvin began his charitable work after he was diagnosed with lymphoma in 2015. Now in full remission and healthy, he formed his own charity, Cancer Haematology and Related Medicine (CHARM).
CCHF helps those with cancer and haematology based illnesses. The charity provides financial support for projects that benefit patients cared for at the CCHU and in the Sunrise Unit. Cash is raised by donations from a generous public and the charity is managed by a team of trustees who give their time for free so that as much money as possible benefits the support and comfort of patients.
