Complementary therapies

These therapies are designed to complement and be used alongside normal medical treatments, and aim to improve the physical and mental wellbeing of cancer patients being treated at the Unit.

The therapists are all volunteers, and they provide a range of treatments: massage, aromatherapy, reflexology, reiki, Indian head massage and relaxation.

Up to four free sessions are provided for cancer and haematology oncology patients, and in some instances also for the family and carers of patients.

To access this service please go to the Cancer or Haematology sections of the hospital website or telephone the Cancer Information & Support Service on 01296 316954.
