Spurs shirt another winner for the Bears!

Charity fundraisers the Bear Golf Society have donated another hefty amount to CCHF – thanks to the auctioning of another signed Tottenham Hotspur Football Club shirt.

The Bears – a group of enthusiastic local golfers – have been raising money for CCHF and other local charities since 2001 through an annual programme of fundraising activities. They have a membership in excess of 65 and normally play once a month between March and November with fields averaging 30 players.

So far this year they have raised more than £1,000 for local charities!

The Spurs shirt is the second the Bears have auctioned with the latest scoring another £350 for CCHF.

The Cancer Care and Haematology Fund is a charity set up to help those diagnosed with cancer and haematology based diseases and being treated by Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust. Through public fundraising a specialist unit – the CCHU - was built and opened in January 2001 at Stoke Mandeville Hospital. The charity continues to provide financial support for projects which benefit patients cared for at the CCHU, the Sunrise Unit in Wycombe Hospital and in community settings across Buckinghamshire and neighbouring counties.
