We hope that you will be able to drop in and see us at Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust's annual public open day at Stoke Mandeville Hospital, Aylesbury, this Saturday (14 September).
The open day runs from 10 am-2 pm. The Trust will be running unique behind the scenes tours of departments such as ophthalmology, operating theatres, the mortuary and more.
For the open day the Cancer Care and Haematology Fund (CCHF) team will be available in the Cancer Information and Wellbeing Service's exciting new modular building, which sits alongside the Cancer Care and Haematology Unit at the hospital.
CCHF, which is the charity that supports people who are being treated for cancer and haematology illnesses in Buckinghamshire, invested more than £100,000 on the “pod”, which is designed to a high environmental standard. Its calm and comfortable space will be used by patients, families and staff for informal and relaxed meetings away from the bustle of the CCHU treatment area.
