Golfers round off a great fundraising 2024

It's been another great year for the The Bear Golf Society, the group of enthusiastic golfers who raise lots of money for charity as well as having a good time competing on a variety of golf courses.
In 2024 the Bears raised a total of £2,085 for local charities, with £1,000 being donated to the Cancer Care and Haematology Fund (CCHF). On the playing side bad weather at the beginning of the year meant that golf was slow to start but this didn't deter the Bears from finding imaginative ways of charity fundraising!
The Bears have been fundraising for CCHF since 2001 and have become one of our most consistent supporters, having raised many thousands of pounds for us in that time. And they're already set for 2025 with a range of exciting venues booked. Click here if you would like more information about joining the Bears.
As a result of the wonderful efforts by supporters and fundraisers like the Bear Golf Society CCHF is able to continue supporting Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust's exceptional cancer and haematology treatment across Buckinghamshire, and specifically the Cancer Care and Haematology Unit (CCHU) at Stoke Mandeville and the Sunrise Unit at Wycombe Hospital.
