Christmas is definitely underway at the Cancer Care and Haematology Unit, Stoke Mandeville Hospital, Aylesbury.
The Unit's fabulous reception team have pulled out all of the stops and – with the aid of friends and supporters – have produced two tables groaning with prizes, Christmas gifts and sweets.
Twice a year – at Christmas and at Easter - raffles are traditionally organised by the reception team and all of the money raised is donated to our charity, the Cancer Care and Haematology Fund (CCHF). Last Easter's event raised a record-breaking £1,216, so the question is, will the team beat that this Christmas?
If you're visiting CCHU in the next few weeks please take a look at the prizes on display in the reception area and consider buying some tickets. They're just £1 a go, and we wish you the very best of luck! (The CCHF team, by the way, have our eyes on that giant Toblerone bar!😍).
CCHU – and the Sunrise Unit at Wycombe Hospital – treat patients suffering from cancer and blood-related illnesses from across Buckinghamshire and neighbouring areas. As a result of the Christmas and Easter raffles - and with help of so many other fundraisers throughout the year - CCHF is able to support Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust's exceptional cancer treatment facilities.
