A Quiz Night held in Weston Turville Village Hall last month (October) produced a windfall for two charities.
Supporters of the Cancer Care and Haematology Fund and Myeloma UK raised more than £2,000 - which was split equally between the two good causes.
CCHF received a cheque for £1,303.75p.
Trustee Dr Ann Watson, in thanking all of those who organised the quiz night and donated in various ways, said: "Thank you again for contributing such a generous sum to CCHF and, of course, towards Myeloma UK support and research - a cause very close to my heart. I thank you on behalf of all of us at the charity and those working in the hospital who deliver care to cancer and haematology patients in Buckinghamshire NHS Healthcare Trust.
"With everyone's help CCHF continues to flourish. The charity funds equipment, staff and other useful projects to support the teams in their excellent work. This year we have spent funds improving the rest facilities for staff, the work of the information and wellbeing team, the free wig service and imminently we will fund an upgrade to the chemotherapy delivery service."
