Charities to benefit from 3-hour Zumbathon!

Music and exercise will be the order of the day when one of our supporters and her friends hold a super fundraising event next month.

Linda Barriteau, who is being treated for ovarian cancer at the Cancer Care and Haematology Unit at Stoke Mandeville Hospital, has earmarked Saturday, 25 February for a three-hour Zumbathon, to raise money for both CCHF and Target Ovarian Cancer.

Linda, who was diagnosed in February last year, says the reason she is raising money is because “the people who look after me are absolutely amazing - my specialist nurses, oncologists and chemo nurses.” She is also grateful to the charity Target Ovarian Cancer who, she says, “have also helped me tremendously”.

The Zumbathon will be held at The Mandeville School, Ellen Road, Aylesbury, starting at 1.00 pm and running through to 4.00 pm. There will be eight local Zumba instructors available, two DJs, a coffee cart and a raffle! Tickets will be £15 on the door (cash only).

As ever, we are so grateful for the hard work of our fundraisers. As a result we're able to support Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust's exceptional cancer treatment across Buckinghamshire, and specifically at the Cancer Care and Haematology Unit at Stoke Mandeville and the Sunrise Unit at Wycombe Hospital.
